When Bad Things Happen to Good Data…

Preserving files so they are protected against disaster is QRecall's raison d’être. Whether you've simply lost a document, you regret upgrading an application, or your hard drive is acting more like a drink coaster than a storage device, QRecall is here to restore your data and get you up and running again.

• Use the recall or restore commands to retrieve any lost or overwritten item.
• Use the rewind command (or bottom layer shades) to step back through the history of your items and recall an older version.
• Restoring an entire volume is pretty simple.
• Restoring your startup volume is a bit trickier, but can be easily accomplished with a few simple steps.

Problems with Archives

Just as problems can occur with your documents, problem can occur with the backup of your documents.

Here are some commonly reported problems with archives and QRecall:

• The archive needs repair
• An action reports an I/O or archive data error
• An action can't find its archive
• An action can't open its archive
• A capture action is reporting issues or problems capturing some items
