The rewind command presents the versions of an item as a spiral timeline; navigate to the desired version by dragging the dial. Once selected, you can preview (Quick Look), recall, or restore your item.

There are three ways to start a rewind:

• Click and hold the Rewind toolbar button ()
• With both the ⌘ and control keys pressed, click and hold on an item or selection of items
• With the ⌘ key pressed, right-click and hold on an item or selection of items

Once the rewind timeline appears, drag the "dial" to the version you are interested in. Releasing the mouse button moves the bottom shade so the layer with that version is visible.
